Boxing Day Flea Market

December 28, 2015

Sunflower Baby House & Preschool organised their very first charity flea market last Saturday, 26th December 2015, on Level 4 of The Grandstand (outside the preschool bay). The event was in support of their adopted charity for 2015, the Lee Ah Mooi Old Age Home.

Items sold ranged from pre-loved clothes, toys, books (donated by the kind parents of SFBH) and baked goods, which the SFBH children partook in the process. There was also a face-painting booth and an open gym session at GIM Sports!

The event was met with overwhelming response, with the SFBH parents, families and even strangers patronising all the booths. There were parent and child volunteers distributing flyers and encouraging sale of the items to the patrons. What was obvious were the great support of the SFBH parents/children to the event, with a lot of hard work invested into it by the SFBH teachers and staff. The old folks at the Lee Ah Mooi Old Age Home are blessed by all the love showered upon them during this merry time of the year.

As of 5pm of 26th December, SFBH’s Boxing Day Charity Flea Market managed to raise a total of $1,259!

Take a peek into the goings-on of the event below!
